2007 Fantasy College Football Position Battles, Part II (Preseason)

With only 8 days until opening kickoff, a lot of players have claimed starting jobs for those positions battles that began in the summer. Here's a list of recent verdicts on some of these battles. Keep these in mind for your upcoming fantasy draft, or see if you can snatch these guys off the waiver wire if they are available.

Sam Bradford (pic left), QB, Oklahoma (via ESPN)
"Redshirt freshman Sam Bradford was named Oklahoma's starting quarterback Tuesday, ending a three-way competition."

Tyler Donovan, QB, Wisconsin (via The Capital Times)
"By most accounts, Tyler Donovan will be that starter, having held off the challenge of Allan Evridge during camp."

Andy Dalton, QB, TCU (via Houston Chronicle)
"Andy Dalton has been named TCU's starting quarterback, coach Gary Patterson said."

Sam Keller, QB, Nebraska (via Journal Star)
"Bill Callahan made official today what most Husker fans have assumed since last season. Sam Keller will be the starting quarterback when Nebraska opens the regular season against Nevada on Sept. 1."

Jordan Steffy, QB, Maryland (via The Washington Post)
"Junior Jordan Steffy, the front-runner for the job, led all quarterbacks in the scrimmage with 116 yards passing."

David Ausberry, WR, USC (via L.A. Daily News)
"What looked like an intriguing pairing a week ago officially became USC's starting wide receiver duo Tuesday, as 6-foot-5 receivers Patrick Turner and David Ausberry are on course to start the season opener together."

Charles Scott, RB, LSU (via The Advocate)
"The competition between sophomores Charles Scott and Keiland Williams to be LSU’s starting tailback could be turning in Scott’s favor."
