2007 Fantasy College Football Head Turners, Part II (Preseason)

In the NFL game, every team has football paparazzi in the double and triple digits made of camera crews, writers, announcers, bloggers, and hundreds of sites and channels cover every angle of every player 24/7. Eventually, the NFL is just going to be one big sports reality show.

In the college game, however, coaches keep everything close to the vest. Injury info is kept private by law, practices are often closed, and only specific media outlets are given access to keep the chatter about the program "manageable."

So the key to the Fantasy College Football game is finding (and hoarding) those little bits of info . . . coaching comments, sidebar references, and teammate blurbs . . . about those players whose names you haven't heard, but who are making "heads turns" in their debuts. Below are some of the early names that have popped out recently as maybe having that talent to shine right from the start:

Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma (via RotoWorld)
"Could the survivor of the Sooner Derby, almost surely Sam Bradford, pull a Colt?"

Looks like Sam Bradford (left) has the inside track on the starting QB job in Norman. Let's just hope he doesn't have an illegal job ala Rhett Bomar.

Chris Ogbonnaya, RB, Texas (via RotoWorld)

If anything happens to Jamaal Charles, Chris Ogbonnaya is the name you need to know.
