Here's our list of the 2007 All-Pre Pro SEC Busts Football Team (Preseason). These players might have started last year, but beware. You draft these players at your own risk because the hype they possess will often get them drafted too early for the minimal stats they might produce. Having the strength to pass on these guys might save your team from a season in the cellar.
QB: Matt Flynn, Lousiana State
(Pic Left) 133 PaYd, 2 PaTD
Flynn is supposed to takeover for the departed JaMarcus Russell. It looks as though he will get the chance to command a very powerful offense, but we think he will be a let down to Tigers' fans. Flynn will be looking over his shoulder at Bayou favorite Ryan Perrilloux instead of concentrating on running the offense efficiently. He could get benched if he doesn't watch out.
RB: LaMarcus Coker, Tennessee
660 RuYd, 4 RuTD
Coker lead all Tenn running backs last year in yards gained. It is doubtful that will happen again. The Volunteers run the RBBC as well as anybody and that spells trouble to all Vol's RBs. LaMarcus is rumored to be in Coach Fulmer's doghouse, all the while having to look over his shoulder at Arian Foster, Montario Hardesty, and 4-star recruit Lennon Creer.
RB: Felix Jones, Arkansas
1018 RuYd, 4 RuTD, 105 ReYd, 3 ReTD
Jones was in a great position last season. Teammate Darren McFadden had a breakout year and all Jones had to do was change up the running speed a bit and Defenses were left scratching their heads. This year teams will be ready for the two headed RBBC attack, and Coach Nutt will air it out a bit more to keep defenses honest. The move toward a more balanced offense could signal trouble for Jones.
WR: Andre Caldwell, Florida
571 ReYd, 5 ReTD
One of the biggest questions on the college landscape is, Will Tim Tebow throw the ball? With that question not yet answered and the emergence of Percy Harvin as the next go-to offensive weapon for the Gators, Caldwell looks like the odd man out. The air attack will look different this season as will Andre's numbers.
WR: Keith Brown, Alabama
583 ReYd, 3 ReTD
Next year's Crimson Tide air attack looks to be Wilson to Hall, not Wilson to Brown. There were times last year when Brown was thought to have been the better WR out between himself and DJ Hall. It does not look that way anymore. Hall almost doubled Brown's yardage total, and matched him on TDs. Hall will be looking to get some highlight reel catches and Brown will continue to be the #2 option for Alabama.
TE: Jacob Tamme, Kentucky
327 ReYd, 1 ReTD
Tamme had two decent games last season. He mostly will not even have those two good games this season. The Wildcats do not tend to utilize their TEs as an offensive weapon. Neither should you.
